DESCRIPTION

The security graphic door control panel, provides an economical control panel combining both operator inputs and visual annunciation on one attractive display.

Operator inputs are through snap acting push button switches mounted below the surface of the display while indication is by long life high intensity LED's.

The waterproof front display surface, can be a colorful representation, or a simple tabular or linear panel.

The graphic mounts into a steel consolet cabinet available in many sizes, making it ideal for placement on a desk or console in security control rooms. The control panel is ideal for security door control, as well as other control applications that require annunciation and operator interface.

DESIGN DATA

1.0 GRAPHIC

The security graphic control panels display surface, is a .010" thick Lexan film, with the artwork silk-screened on the underside in a variety of standard colors. The customer can choose from a dark black background, or a light pastel grey background.

Translucent openings shall be made in the film for backlighting LED indictors. The Lexan film is bonded to a .250" thick black nylon substrate by means of a .010" thick hi-performance adhesive. Holes are drilled in the nylon substrate for mounting of push button switches and high intensity LED's.

The switches and LED's do not protrude through the Lexan film, making the front surface spill resistant and easily cleaned.

2.0 CABINET

The console is made of 14ga. steel, painted satin black with a pleasing textures finish. The cabinet cover is sloped 30 degrees and continuously hinged along the top edge.

Captivated screws with black decorative caps fasten the cover to cabinet body. This prevents unauthorized opening of the cabinet. Plastic snap-lock stand offs are provided in the bottom of each cabinet to mount customer provided driver assembly boards.

3.0 INDICATORS

The indicators shall be high intensity LED's, T1-3/4 in size, rated at 20 ma. The LED's shall have a long life for continuous or pulsed operation. The LED's shall be press fitted into holes drilled in the nylon substrate.

A push-on insulation displacement connector, shall be provided with each LED, for wire connections to custom interface boards. Resistors and diodes for current limiting and LED test, shall be mounted on the interface boards. Ribbon cable connections and descrete wire connections on the circuit boards, allow the panel to be wired to customer programmable controller driver boards.

4.0 SWITCHES

The switches are replaceable from the rear of the panel.
They are screwed into tapped holes drilled in the nylon substate, then tightened with a mounting nut. Switches are long life snap acting push button style, with a audible 'click' upon activation.

Switches have a contact rating of 1amp it 24 vdc.
Switches are wired to interface boards with terminal connections for ribbon cable or individual wires.
