| GENERAL: The 'Active' style of Graphic Annunciators can handle extensive modifications right in the field without the need for a replacement panel. Here's how it work's: The Graphic display is printed with non-fading black ink on a transparent polyester film. Zoning separations can be color-coded by shading each area with colored inks. This film is sandwiched between a 1/4" thick white P.V.C. backing panel and a 1/8" thick clear Lexan cover (1/4"thk. for A-1824(F)(S) & larger sizes). LED's mount through holes in the white P.V.C. and are wired to custom interface boards that will accommodate snap-in ribbon cables or individual wires. The beauty of this modular design comes when there are changes; a service technician simply removes the clear Lexan cover and replaces the old film with a new film. Holes can be easily added to the backing panel for additional zones, and deleted simply with white sticky tabs if zones are eliminated. All these changes can be done in the field. |
